BigMile’s carbon accounting software featured on Amazon Sustainability Exchange
BigMile is featured on the Amazon Sustainability Exchange as a trusted carbon accounting solution that can help companies reduce their emissions. In this article, we explain what the Sustainability Exchange is and how the BigMile platform was evaluated before being added.

BigMile has been recognized by the Amazon Sustainability Exchange as a trusted carbon accounting solution that helps companies of all sizes improve the sustainability of their transport operations. It was added to the Sustainability Exchange following a thorough review by experts to ensure it was aligned with Amazon’s science-based approach to sustainability.
With road transport responsible for 25% of all GHG emissions in the EU, and over one fifth of energy-related emissions globally, it’s clear that reducing the emissions of transportation can have a big impact. So much so that Amazon includes Transportation as one of the focus areas on its Sustainability Exchange—a platform that aims to help companies make meaningful progress towards making their operations more sustainable.
In 2025, BigMile was added to the Amazon Sustainability Exchange as a solution that helps companies measure and reduce their transport emissions. The platform’s calculation methodology is aligned with international standards including ISO 14083 and the GLEC Framework, ensuring that emissions data is both accurate and compliant with national and regional regulations.
Before being listed, BigMile underwent extensive vetting by Amazon’s sustainability subject-matter experts to confirm it aligns with Amazon’s science-based approach to sustainability and is suitable for use by companies trying to measure their emissions.
Jan Pronk, CEO at BigMile said:
“For the past five years, we’ve helped companies accurately measure and report their emissions in line with global standards. We’re proud that our work is now recognized by Amazon’s Sustainability Exchange and look forward to helping even more companies take the next step in their sustainability journey.”
BigMile helps companies reduce their costs and carbon emissions through features such as route optimization, scenario planning, and customizable dashboards. It also enables easy, transparent sharing of data, allowing users to either generate audit-ready reports for their customers, investors and other stakeholders, or share data directly through the platform.
