Who is the Meten en Verbeteren program for?

This program is designed for logistics companies in the Netherlands with a fleet of trucks, including owner-operators, transport companies, shippers, and retailers. You can assess your eligibility for the program using this questionnaire.

Do I already need CO₂ data to participate?

No. You can start at the level that matches your current situation.

How do I know which step to start at?

The Meten en Verbeteren program consists of five steps, ranging from creating your first CO₂ report to continuous improvement and deeper analysis. You start at the step that matches where your organisation is today. Assess your current setup with this quick questionnaire or simply get in touch and we’ll guide you through the process.

Can shippers and retailers without their own fleet collaborate?

Not directly. Shippers and retailers who work with a freight forwarder, LSP, or carrier to transport their goods can’t register for the program, however they can encourage their carriers to register and then work with them to implement the improvements identified by the program (if the carrier agrees to share the data).

What is BigMile’s involvement in the Meten en Verbeteren program?

Is the Meten en Verbeteren CO₂ program free to join?

Yes! The program is free to join for eligible companies (Netherlands-based logistics companies that work with operational data from a truck fleet). This includes guidance from an advisor on navigating the five steps, usually over a period of 2-6 months. However, software used as part of the program may carry an additional cost.
