Frontend Engineer (full-time)

The role

As a Frontend Engineer, you will work on developing new features for our core product while also contributing to more exploratory projects. You'll collaborate closely with the team to balance innovation, technical improvements, and experimenting with modern tools and technologies.

Skills & Experience

• Strong experience with TypeScript, React, and Next.js
• Experience with data visualization and charts (Apache eCharts preferred)
• User-centric and UX-focused mindset
• Self-starter who can autonomously deliver features
• Excellent communication skills: team-oriented, approachable, and proactive
• Full-time availability (4 or 5 days per week)

Bonus Points If You:

• Are passionate about sustainability
• Have experience with atomic state management (Jotai)

What you’ll do

• Code and ship our next features in close collaboration with our backend team
• Join design discussions (e.g. when we rethink and rebuild our scenario capabilities)
• Work with your fellow frontend engineers to raise coding standards, tackle tech debt, and keep the codebase healthy

About the team

You'll join a dynamic team of backend and frontend developers. Most are based in the Netherlands, one in Finland and one in Poland. With your addition and potential new hires, we plan to expand from one team to two teams. We work mostly remote, using our virtual office in Gather. We like to learn and improve, and when we see the opportunity, a good idea or suggestion can be adopted right-away. 

We start our days with a standup, sharing about our weekend or last night, and meet each other consistently during the day. Most often sharing our screens. We share responsibility and work when deadlines are near and do not believe in git blaming each other (as we fail as a team!)
